NUNO PINHEIRO

Nuno Pinheiro (Lisbon, 1989) is an actor, holds a BA in Theatre (Acting) and an MA in Theatre (Specialization in Community Theatre) from the Lisbon Theatre and Film School (ESTC). As a performer, he has worked with João Mota, Maria Duarte, Alice Azevedo, Filipa Matta, Tiago Cadete, Tiago Vieira, and Teresa Coutinho (theatre), as well as David Marques (dance) and Marco Martins (advertising), among others. Between 2009 and 2017, he was a member of the Teatro da Garagem company. In the 2025/26 season, he is part of the cast of A Place of Safety by the Italian company Kepler 452.
Since 2020, he has collaborated as a dramaturg and author with artists such as Susana Gaspar, Filipa Matta, Lígia Soares, and Sara de Castro. Simultaneously, he works as a teacher and trainer at various institutions, including the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal and
the Cascais Professional Theatre School (EPTC). Since 2023, he has co-directed the pedagogical project Teatro em Formação at Teatro Virgínia (Torres Novas) alongside Raquel André. In May 2025, he premiered the co-creation Partes Sensíveis with David Marques, followed by the premiere of Antes de Entrar in October with Teatro Experimental do Funchal, featuring a text by Lígia Soares. In 2022, he co-founded Parca – Associação Cultural with David Marques. He was awarded the title "Amicus Romaniae" by the Romanian Cultural Institute for his work in promoting Romanian literature in Portugal.
